Senior Software Engineer – C++

The Company

Our Melbourne based client are an established organisation who develop automated robotic systems for mass production. They have partnered with a number of industry leading organisations in the industrial automation sector as they navigate unprecedented growth.
  

Responsibilities

• Derive software system requirements, define test requirements, and lead system design and system requirement reviews.
• Design, develop and test software programs written in C++, Rust and other programming languages and produce related documentation.
• Design, develop and test databases, scripts, plugins, and user interfaces.
• Implement error handling logic, evaluate software against specific test plans, and report results in terms of software verification and validation.
• Collect and analyse data relating to software systems for performance improvement.
• Liaise with third-party software suppliers and other internal/external stakeholders to deliver projects into production.

 
 
Your Background/Experience

• Tertiary qualifications across Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• 7 years’ experience programming in C++ and/or Rust and its related frameworks.
• Strong experience in designing and implementing distributed architecture.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in MVC service development.
• Solid understanding of backend development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Dockers & Kubernetes experience.
