Workshop Supervisor opportunity based in Tullamarine to lead maintenance operations, manage teams, ensure safety, quality, and workshop efficiency.
Our client a leading Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical systems supplier are currently recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to join the team based at their Tullamarine Workshop.
The workshop supervisor is required to oversees the day-to-day operations the workshop, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance work.
- Prioritising urgent breakdown repairs.
- Allocating jobs to technicians and tradespeople based on skills and workload.
- Monitoring progress to minimise downtime.
- Leading maintenance technicians.
- Providing technical guidance and support.
- Monitoring productivity and workmanship.
- Training and mentoring staff.
- Enforcing workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
- Ensuring repairs meet quality and reliability standards.
- Investigating recurring equipment failures and implementing improvements.
- Managing spare parts inventory and ordering materials.
- Coordinating with suppliers and contractors when needed.
- Maintaining maintenance records and work orders.
- Assisting with budgeting and resource planning.
About you
- Strong maintenance supervisor background.
- Mechanical trade qualified
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning systems
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, or asset maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements.
