Production Planner/Scheduler role in Clayton, 12-month contract with strong chance of extension.
The Company
Our client is a well-established industrial manufacturing business known for delivering high-quality products and operating within a fast-paced, high-performing environment. With continued growth and strong demand across their operations, they are seeking an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
The Role
- Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and operational targets
- Work closely with the production team to ensure efficient workflow, capacity planning, and resource allocation
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in line with changing priorities and constraints
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure material availability aligns with production plans
- Identify and resolve scheduling issues, minimising downtime and improving overall efficiency
- Maintain accurate planning data, reporting, and system updates to support decision-making
Your Background
- Proven experience in a Production Planner/Scheduler role within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow coordination
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing settings with changing priorities
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across production, procurement, and operations teams
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills
