Maintenance Fitter – Night Shift (Food Manufacturing)
Location: Keilor Park
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)
Rate: $55 + 30% shift loading + super (That is $71.50 per hour plus overtime!!!)
Overtime: WEEKLY OVERTIME AVAILABLE!!

We’re a leading food manufacturing business known for quality, innovation, and reliability. Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our night shift team. This is a critical role ensuring our production lines run safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for both preventative and breakdown maintenance across a fast-paced production environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping equipment operating at peak performance while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on production and packaging equipment
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical faults
- Repair and maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other machinery
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Ensure compliance with safety, food hygiene, and quality standards
- Accurately complete maintenance records and reports
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently on night shift
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance systems
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented mindset
