Maintenance Electrician (Food Manufacturing)
Location – Inner North West Metro
$55–$56/hr + Shift Loading + Penalties + OT + Super | Rolling Roster | 50 hrs/week
A major national food manufacturer is expanding its maintenance team and seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support a large‑scale, high‑volume production site with over 400 employees.
This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑moving FMCG environment, ideal for an electrician who thrives on fault‑finding, automation support, and keeping production lines running safely and efficiently.
What’s on Offer
- $55–$56/hr base rate
- +15% Afternoon Shift Loading
- +30% Night Shift Loading
- + Penalties, OT & Super
- Preventative Maintenance planned Sunday, extra shift if desired
- Average 50 hours per week (38 hrs contracted + regular OT)
- Monday–Friday rolling roster:
- AM: 6am–2pm
- PM: 2pm–10pm
- NS: 10pm–6am
- Long‑term, stable work with a nationally recognised food producer
- Strong safety culture and well‑structured maintenance systems
Your Responsibilities
- Electrical maintenance across automated food manufacturing equipment
- Advanced fault‑finding on PLC‑controlled machinery and production lines
- Maintenance of motors, VSDs, sensors, control panels, and safety circuits
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability engineering initiatives
- Working closely with mechanical fitters and production teams
- Ensuring compliance with electrical safety and site procedures
What You Bring
- A‑Grade Electrical Licence (mandatory)
- Strong experience in electrical fault‑finding within manufacturing
- FMCG or food production experience highly desirable
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- A commitment to safe work practices and high standards
