Senior Quality Manager opportunity driving culture, continuous improvement and operational excellence

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working as part of the Site Operations Leadership Team, the Quality Manager will lead the quality and food safety agenda, strengthening quality culture, improving systems and processes and developing a clear quality roadmap for the future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define and lead the quality and food safety strategy across the operation
  • Develop and implement a clear quality roadmap and improvement plan
  • Build a strong quality culture through coaching, engagement and visible presence
  • Champion 5S, housekeeping standards and operational accountability
  • Partner with production teams to resolve issues collaboratively and implement sustainable corrective actions
  • Maintain food safety certifications, HACCP plans, audits and regulatory compliance
  • Analyse consumer complaint trends and lead initiatives to reduce repeat issues
  • Oversee supplier quality, non-conformance management and improvement activity
  • Support innovation, capital projects, automation and new product introduction
  • Contribute practical ideas and solutions as a member of the Site Operations Leadership Team
  • Improve the use of data, systems and digital tools across the quality function
  • Develop team capability and reinforce a right-first-time, continuous-improvement mindset

Your Background

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Several years’ experience in a site-based Quality Manager or senior Quality leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, audits, food safety systems and relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated success improving quality culture and operational standards
  • Strong influencing, coaching and stakeholder-management capability
  • Exposure to 5S, Lean, continuous improvement or operational excellence systems
  • Experience supporting capital projects, automation or site transformation
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to connect quality outcomes to broader commercial goals
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Science, Engineering or a related discipline
