The Company

This is an opportunity to join a specialist brewing and fermentation facility that supports individuals, makers and small producers to create beer and other alcoholic beverages.

This role will suit someone who enjoys sharing their brewing knowledge and supporting others through the process.

The Role

You will support people using the facility to produce their own beer or alcoholic drinks, providing guidance, coaching and practical support throughout the brewing process. This is not a high-volume production role. The focus is on mentoring, supervision, safety and technical support, helping users follow good brewing practices and troubleshoot issues when required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support individuals using the facility to brew beer or other alcoholic beverages
  • Provide practical coaching and guidance throughout the brewing process
  • Assist with troubleshooting brewing or fermentation issues when required
  • Ensure products are being made safely and in line with good brewing practice
  • Help users understand equipment, process steps and hygiene requirements
  • Promote safe use of the facility and brewing equipment
  • Provide clear and patient advice to people with varying levels of brewing experience
  • Support a positive, collaborative and educational environment

Your Background

You will be an experienced Brewer with strong practical knowledge of brewing, fermentation, hygiene and safe production practices. In order to be successful in this role, you will:

  • Previous brewing experience, ideally in a commercial or professional environment
  • Strong understanding of brewing, fermentation and hygiene requirements
  • Ability to coach and support people with different levels of experience
  • Practical troubleshooting skills
  • A safety-focused approach
  • Clear communication and patience when explaining processes
  • Flexibility to work casual hours as required
