We’re seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join a major national food manufacturing operation in Brisbane. This is a long‑term, stable opportunity within a high‑volume, highly automated production environment.

Base Rates

Maintenance Fitter:

• Day Shift: $45.10/hr
• Afternoon Shift: $48.48/hr
• Night Shift: $51.87/hr

Penalty rates apply for weekends and certain nights.

Shift Options

Choose a roster that suits your lifestyle:

• Day Shift: 6:00am – 3:20pm
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 11:20pm
• Night Shift Team A: Sun–Thu (10:00pm – 7:20am)
• Night Shift Team B: Mon–Fri (10:00pm – 7:20am)
• Weekend Crew: Fri–Mon (4:00am – 4:00pm)

All rosters include alternating RDOs for half the team.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of production and packaging equipment across a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. This includes preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery
• Mechanical fault‑finding across automated and high‑speed equipment
• Support production teams to minimise downtime and maintain output
• Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and improvement projects
• Maintain compliance with WHS, quality, and food safety standards
• Work collaboratively with Electricians, Supervisors, and Production teams

About You

• Trade‑qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or higher)
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing highly regarded
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
• Exposure to automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyors
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Safety‑focused with a proactive approach to maintenance
