An industry-leading Australian food manufacturer is looking for an experienced maintenance professional to join its high-performing engineering team. Working in a modern, automated manufacturing environment, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through preventative maintenance, breakdown response, continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring production staff.

The Role
As a Maintenance Fitter plus (Electrical Licence), you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment across a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding across production equipment
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising downtime
- Preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Installing, modifying and commissioning machinery
- Improving equipment reliability and production efficiency
- Recording maintenance activities through the CMMS system
- Maintaining high safety, GMP and quality standards
About You
To be successful you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter
- Current Electrical Licence
- Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical or another fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with preventative maintenance and breakdown response
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative maintenance team
