Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Location: Broadmeadows, VIC
Industry: Food Manufacturing
Shift: Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 5:00AM – 1:00PM
Pay Rate: $48.60 per hour + Super + Overtime
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our food manufacturing facility based in Broadmeadows. This is a permanent day shift position offering excellent hourly rates, consistent Monday–Friday hours, and overtime opportunities.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment through preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults efficiently
- Conduct repairs, installations, and upgrades to plant equipment
- Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Ensure all work complies with food safety and OH&S standards
About You
- Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
- Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry (highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and packaging equipment
- Ability to work independently on day shift
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
