Lead maintenance, reliability and engineering across a MHF manufacturing site.
The Opportunity
An established manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of maintenance, reliability and engineering activities across a critical chemical manufacturing site.
This is a hands on leadership position where you’ll have genuine autonomy to improve plant reliability, uptime, maintenance systems and site performance, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.
You’ll work closely with the Site Manager, leading maintenance activities across a complex process environment where mechanical integrity, reliability and EHS are critical to the operation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the site’s maintenance strategy, systems and day to day maintenance activities
- Drive plant reliability, uptime and equipment performance
- Lead maintenance planning, shutdowns and preventative maintenance programs
- Oversee contractors and the Maintenance Team
- Manage maintenance budgets, forecasts, spares and operational expenditure
- Lead smaller capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Own key EHS systems including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change and Fire Risk Management
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and overall site profitability
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager who has worked within a Chemical or MHF Manufacturing Site!
You’ll ideally bring:
- Engineering degree or relevant tertiary engineering qualification
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar maintenance leadership role
- Strong understanding of process/manufacturing environments
- Experience managing maintenance contractors and external service providers
- Experience managing shutdowns, budgets and maintenance programs
- Understanding of Mechanical Integrity and Management of Change
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety, compliance and risk management
- Leadership capability with the ability to coach and influence teams
