My client is a leading FMCG manufacturer with a strong reputation for producing high-quality consumer products across the Australian market. With continued investment in its people, operations and manufacturing capability, an exciting opportunity has become available for an Operations Manager to lead manufacturing performance across a large-scale production facility.
This role is based in Sydney, NSW.

The Role

Reporting into the General Manager of Operations, the responsibilities of the role includes:

• Leading day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets
• Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Leading, coaching and developing frontline leaders and production teams to build a high-performing culture
• Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain to maximise plant performance
• Monitoring production KPIs, labour utilisation and operational efficiency to deliver business objectives
• Championing a strong safety, quality and food safety culture throughout the site
• Supporting strategic initiatives, capital projects and operational improvement programs

Your Background

In order to be successful in this role, you will be:

• An experienced Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Production Manager within FMCG or another high-volume manufacturing environment
• A proven people leader with experience leading large operational teams
• Strong in driving safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives
• Commercially minded with the ability to balance operational performance, service and cost
• An effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the business
• Experienced within food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical or another regulated manufacturing environment
