A confidential opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Operational Contracts Manager to join a leading energy provider in Tasmania.

This is a senior operational role responsible for overseeing high value, complex contracts, contractor performance, compliance, budgets and commercial outcomes, while leading a small team and managing key internal and external stakeholders.

About the role

  • Manage multiple high-value, multi-year operational contracts and programs
  • Oversee contract performance, KPIs, budgets, compliance and risk
  • Lead and develop a small operational support team
  • Manage key supplier and contractor relationships
  • Support tenders, negotiations, contract renewals and the full contract lifecycle
  • Drive cost efficiencies, performance improvements and environmental outcomes
  • Work closely with operational, legal, supply chain and regulatory stakeholders
  • Ensure safe, compliant and uninterrupted delivery of essential services
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships, including contractors, councils and regulatory bodies
  • Some after-hours/on-call participation may be required

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar supervisory/management role involving operational and people management
  • Proven experience managing large, high-value supply and services contracts
  • Experience with Panel Agreements and contract lifecycle management
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical and supplier-management skills
  • Demonstrated contract management and risk-management experience
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a broad audience
  • Tertiary qualification in business management or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent competence
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external parties
  • Experience with auditing, reporting, performance monitoring or data analysis is advantageous
  • Utilities, water, infrastructure or a similar operational background is highly regarded
  • Cert IV in Frontline Management is desirable
  • Current Australian C-Class driver’s licence
