Lead the growth of an iconic Australian food brand backed by a global FMCG group
We’re partnering with a well-established, Australian household name in the food category that’s entering a new phase of investment and transformation. With strong heritage, national distribution and the backing of a global parent company, the business is focused on evolving its brand portfolio and accelerating growth across retail channels.
This is a newly created opportunity for a senior marketing professional to take ownership of a core portfolio and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of the brand.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll lead the development and execution of brand strategy across a multi-product portfolio, while also managing and developing a small team of marketers.
This is a true end-to-end role, from setting direction through to execution, with a strong leadership component.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning brand strategy and positioning across a multi-tiered portfolio
- Leading integrated campaigns across ATL, digital, social and retail media
- Managing agency partners and media budgets to deliver ROI
- Driving brand-led innovation from concept through to launch
- Partnering with Sales on joint business planning and retail activation
- Leading packaging design and creative direction to improve shelf impact
- Using data and insights to optimise performance and guide decision-making
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of 3 marketers to build capability and performance
About You
You’re a commercially minded marketer who enjoys owning outcomes and influencing across a business. You bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, alongside proven experience leading and developing teams.
We’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience in FMCG marketing or brand management, ideally within food
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing direct reports
- Strong experience across brand strategy, campaigns and innovation
- Proven ability to work closely with major retailers (e.g. Coles/Woolworths)
- Confidence managing agencies, budgets and campaign performance
- Exposure to packaging, product or innovation pipelines
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach with a bias for action
